Ageing idealist battered by a life of surviving and family, now enjoying the fruits of a lifetime of labour. We live in a beautiful spot in a wooded valley in Umbria in a big old stone house that I rebuilt stone by stone from the ground up. Now divided into 3 apartments, 1 of which we rent in the summer to enable our survival.
