Quarto 1.4 (pre-release version) now supports typst.
Typst is a modern typesetting system that is an alternative to latex.
This may be useful.

UchidaMizuki,

I tried Typst with Quarto 1.4 on a simple sample.
Using format: typst produced a PDF much faster than format: pdf (via tex). And so far, the PDFs output by typst look good.

Optimization.jl has many options for automatic differentiation, such as AutoZygote() and AutoEnzyme().
They are very useful, but are there any pros and cons for each option?

There are many reasons to prefer R.
Recently, targets package has become one of them.

Now, it is essential for me to ensure the reproductivity of data analysis. I want many analysts to use these pipeline tools for data analysis.

Here are the tutorial slides.

R is one of the best languages for data science.

But what about optimization? In optimization, Julia is attractive to me because it allows for automatic differentiation.

Can we do automatic differentiation in R?

UchidaMizuki,

@bbolker @rstats
Very useful information on automatic differentiation in R! I will study them.

reticulate and JuliaCall packages have lowered the barrier between R, Python, Julia, so I’d like to try these packages too.

Thank you so much.
