I remember being at a bookstore when I was 12 and looking at Harry Potter books and this weird Christian lady came up to me and told me they were evil because they promoted witchcraft. I have read all of those books, I was in the target age for them though the last ones I read more for a sake of completion than genuine interest. They are and always have been books for children, they don't belong on a pedestal.

Today I learned that Mormons throw out the Song of Songs from their abominable canon; in fact, they don't like the book, with the official position being that there is nothing in it that comes from God's hand and that the work is trash.

They will claim that God was "always infinite" yet the Mormon head god was once a mere man and had to become infinite in eternal progression (and this applies to Christ too, doubly blasphemous).

No. But He also doesn't say that a camel can't pass through the eye of needle or that a wealthy man can't enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Intentions and character matter to God, Who knows you in your heart. If your deepest motivation is "Muh dick, superior man need more wife," then you're a nigger, end of story. There's no reason to ever encourage polygamy, it's playing with fire even if it can be done without sin (unlikely).
