Software and game developer. New to #Godot and loving it. Also new to Mastodon.

Hobby game dev, generated art, code for fun.
Love seeing what amazing things people are creating, as life is taking up way to much of my time to do much myself.

Been working with Unity for 13+ years, both professionally and for hobby projects. But they showed their greed one time too many. So I turned to Godot.

I have a list of Scenes that I references in a script, but the "icons" for the scenes doesn't at all match what's in the scene. And it's very confusing as there are no other indication of what scene is referenced.
Are there any way to update or set the "icon" to what's in the scene?

@SirLich It feels very random what is shown. As you mentioned some are from other scenes.. :/
Confusing. Thanks for input.

Once again I got an hour to do a bit of #GameDev 😃
But all I finished was convert level 3 to 5 from the old #Tiled format to Godot.
I really don't need anything as powerful as Tiled. The build-in tile editor in #Godot is more than enough for my needs. Even tho you can't rotate "scene tiles". yet! 😑

@Tearcell hmmm.. It's 5+ years since I used Tiled, so maybe it's gotten better.
Also it would allow me to add the Scene tiles in what ever rotation I want.. But I would have to make an importer, or tweak an existing one.
Thanks for making me doubt my choice 😄

@Tearcell I took your input into consideration and decided to go with the Tiled solution. My Tiled importer is now 90% complete. I can import and rotate any tile as needed. :) I only need to implement the import of objects since I want special abilities, like linking objects, and so on.
I'm confident this will be the better way of doing level design.
Thanks for your input!
