What are your takes about rating systems?
I always feel like the 5 ⭐ system ends up being used as just a 1 or a 5, but the 10/10 is way too granular.
👍👎 seem like a good idea, but it lacks a neutral in my opinion.
Anyone has any interesting reads or takes about rating systems? let me know :)
Currently, reviews contribute to the package score in a flat way - +100 for a positive, -100 for negative, 0 for neutral. There have been suggestions on weighting based on creation date or helpful/unhelpful rating
Are there any paid Godot assets/plugins that you like/use? I'm doing some research and I don't want to miss anything obvious 👀 Most of the ones I know are FOSS, so I'm not that familiar with paid ones. #godotengine
You can't imagine the amount of tech support emails we receive on the Godot contact email accounts. Why do you think this happens? Do we have the email somewhere I'm not aware of that says "for tech support email us at..."? 🫠
@thomastospace The first paragraph links to the page with our communities, but I'm sure no one reads it 😅
So I guess it is another page to include into the "to redesign" list.
And yeah, making a support page + making it more like the community page, but only with the parts that focus on Support (so no link to Reddit for example), would likely help a lot.
And of course, make it super easy to reply to the emails. Making it so you can just copy/paste a default response will also help with handling the influx.
Another morning, another bot attack 🤖 Anyone has experience dealing with discourse spammers?
They are posting random gibberish, and then editing the posts to add the spam, bypassing the automatic filters. I guess there should be a way to make filters work also when people edit their posts?

I'm looking to buy a mini PC to use on my desk (I kinda hate plugging and unplugging the laptop every time) and I was wondering what recommendations y'all have?
Don't care about the brand, just something that is quiet but won't struggle to open too many tabs on the browser 😅
@ward I'm not too worried about the budget, I'm more worried about it being loud. I had one long time ago and after a year or so the fan was constantly spinning at max. Even if it was a mini pc I could hear it through my microphone when recording 😭

The new platform includes more sections for the community to hang out, it uses your Godot Account for login, and you can start using it right now! We still haven't announced it properly but it is great to see it working.
