I was rooting for Denver, just because I love watching Jokic play, but I gotta tip my hat to Minnesota. The defense that they played in this series was some of the best defense I’ve ever seen played. No hyperbole. Game 2 and that second half might be the best defense I’ve ever seen played in an #NBA game. Just incredible stuff.

I detest the #Knicks. Always have. John Starks, Ewing and that old crew can go eat a big fat dick. Losers. I'll always root against the Knicks. But these days I'm a tad torn. You see, I have two #Villanova graduates in my family and have always pulled for Nova dating back to the days of Rollie M. These days, the Knicks have essentially become Nova North. I so want to root for Brunson, DD, and Hart, but no can do. If only they played for another team.

Waiting on my grocery order to be brought to the car and everything is FUBAR, severely understaffed and lagging. Everyone is angry.

I’d be mad too, but am instead enjoying the absolutely incandescent stream of profanities coming from the redneck lady next to me. She can’t find the right person to yell at, and keeps sending her hapless husband on sorties to try to get things moving. He wanders around, holds his arms up in despair, and returns unsuccessfully to be scolded for his ineffectiveness.

Don't want to damper the dancing in the streets of #knicks fans but Jalen Brunson just had one of the greatest playoff series of all time (matching numbers only Jordan and O. Robertson had done) and they barely beat... the Sixers?? Better hope Brunson keeps up his all-time playoff performances cause they gonna need that every... single... game.

I love a good food hyper-fixation. At the moment it's homemade pesto for me. Don't worry about making it "right" with the mortar etc etc — just make it. Use olive oil, fresh basil, maybe some mint, any nut, any hard cheese, process it up. Put it on some broiled bread, or chicken breast, or tomato sandwich.

Not into basil? Use some sundried tomatoes. Even better!

@murtaugh My wife whips up a huge batch of it at the end of the summer and we freeze it in small portions. Homemade pesto in the middle of January is effin awesome.

@lizardllama yeah, I hit wonderland a lot in high school (mid 80s) cause I could get there easy on the El. And you had to make sure to call it a "pipe" or "water pipe" not a bowl or a bong; if you called it a bowl or bong they wouldn't sell it to you.

Today, I was at the office complex where my dentist is so I swung by to make an appointment. I walk in and there's no one at the counter. No one in the exam rooms. No receptionist, no dentists, no dental assistants, no customers. No one at all. Muzak was playing and all the lights are on. Stood there for 10 minutes like I was in a fucking episode of the Twilight Zone. Walked out. I still need a cleaning.

3/27/88 Hampton. Cool moment...Jerry walks back to light up a smoke and Phil actually plays the first notes of FOTM. I was sitting a couple rows from the guy who filmed this. Bonus...a little Miles Davis to start off the set.

    Reports: on Elon drug use, based on interview with > 50 current & former employees, associates, and friends. That Musk has been using ketamine, a controlled substance that can cause hallucinations and dissociation, for depression and recreation. It also alleges that Musk's drug use has contributed to his erratic & impulsive behavior, such as tweeting false information, making risky business decisions, clashing with regulators and shareholders. The report cites several examples of Musk's alleged ketamine use.

    • Musk dosing ketamine at work, taking full doses at parties, according to witnessed him doing so.
    • Musk asking a friend to procure ketamine for him in 2020, and later sending him a text message that read: "I'm high af" as fuck.
    • Musk appearing to be high during an all-hands meeting at SpaceX in 2023, where he rambled about aliens, simulation theory & his plans to colonize Mars.
    • Musk admitting to Tesla director, Linda Rice, that he used ketamine, Rice reported resigned concerns about Musk's drug use.

    Three days ago, my former union went on strike (AFTRA). And in 15 days, my current union (Teamsters) will probably go on strike. Make no mistake, the billion dollar companies that we work for would fuck us royally and pay us less than a living wage if we didn't have the leverage a union gives us. Remember, without Unions, the 60-hour work week would be the standard everywhere today. Unions=the folks who brought you the weekend.
