From Crazy Town: "OK, urbanism is a well-understood word, but "speedism?" Admittedly Jason, Asher, and I are taking some linguistic liberties in this season of Crazy Town to maintain our "Escaping __ism" construction. That said, "speedism" isn't a difficult concept to comprehend. It's about recognizing how needlessly fast the world has gotten. Technology, which was supposed to free up our time, paradoxically takes more of it. But there are strategies for slowing down and living life to its fullest.
If, like me, you live in a city, there may be no obvious escape from urbanism, but we do present ideas for shifting the infrastructure, structure, and superstructure of urbanism.
