„please recycle“ reads the box containing the #onewheel front and rear footpads that i was forced to purchase due to the sensor on the front one peeling off with no sensortape or just front sensor pad being available or intended to be made available by #futuremotion
originally i wanted a different rear footpad… this would make this situation even more ridiculous #righttorepair
the #floatwheel website actually lists a sensor repair kit for $30 – meanwhile #futuremotion tries to make me purchase a set of two whole new footpads for $120 due to the separating and already dirt collecting sensor layer 4 months after 1y warranty. if i could justify the trouble and money (if the thing was legal in germany), this would/should be the moment of replacing the #onewheel with a floatwheel i guess. (of course just a new sheet of sensor layer would be sufficient) #righttorepair
Ah yea here we go, I contact #futuremotion as the front footpad starts to separate at the sensor layer and they just reply with:
"We don't sell or ship the components of the footpad and you'll just need to pick up a new footpad set on our website. Let us know if you have additional questions or concerns! "
Edit: i am about 4month out of warrany lmao.
(this means no sensor layer but a bundle of two footpads for $120 + import + shipping if bad luck on availability in germany) #onewheel
