The pulpit in the Protestant town church in Monschau (North Eifel, Aachen city region), built in 1787-1789, stands above the altar. The church, built in the style of the Louis XVI period, was named a "building of national importance" in 2012 and "town church of the year" in the same year.

Monschau Castle in Monschau (northern Eifel area, Aachen city region) was first mentioned in a document in 1217. In the middle of the 14th century, it was expanded into a fortress. After it had fallen into disrepair, it was restored at the beginning of the 20th century. After the First World War until today, the castle served as a youth hostel.

A reconstruction of the old Roman aqueduct that transported water from the #Eifel to #Cologne over a distance of 95 km. This was part of a 1.5 km long above-ground structure to cross the lowlands of the Swist river.
