(0/54) Ever think, “Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ is such a fantastic song. I should find and listen to many, many different versions of it!”?
No? Well … a few weeks ago, I did just that. I started a project of sorts which involved spending hours finding all manner of covers of Creep by Radiohead, so you don't have to!
Go ahead and listen to all of them, and let me know what you think of them…
(1/54) My inspiration for this slightly odd project started with this phenomenal cover by Haley Reinhart and Postmodern Jukebox: https://youtu.be/m3lF2qEA2cw
(6/54) Not quite as polished, but pretty great for buskers on the street in my home city. 🙂 Allie Sherlock and the 3 Busketeers: https://youtu.be/9pecYpCh2Js
(8/54) This live performance by Carrie Manolakos starts quiet and breathy, but rises (as this wonderful song should) to a powerful crescendo: https://youtu.be/aZ5ZclZTeTU
(11/54) This version from two young German sisters (13 and 15) on the German version of “The Voice Kids” is something else: https://youtu.be/wC64ZPJXMGU
(17/54) This one is … more than a little odd. A singer (Chloe Alexander) and her parrot (Gallagher GreenParrot) sing (and “sing”) Creep (singer and ukulele are good; the parrot is impressive for a parrot, but … a bit cacaphonic/discordant): https://youtu.be/LW_O5VWIOZE
(19/54) This soulful, melodic version by a young man by the name of Vincint Cannady, also on America’s Got Talent (a show I never watched, but YouTube has many good Creep covers, including this one) builds up to a powerful finale: https://youtu.be/6FTn5uGuzww?t=60
