Nasturtium, maroon. The nasturtiums come back every year with a lot of colors.
They spread everywhere so I have to keep them in check. I have had them growing under tomatoes last year and while I had to cut them back the tomatoes did very well.
Quite architectural, this flower spike of a Salvia microphylla rises up in the Autumn sunlight. It's a seedling from another salvia - quite possibly a crossbreed as we've had a few different varieties in the garden...
