Saw this quick review by MarcyMe of this year’s SE Pelikan Edelstein ink, Golden Lapis, seems to be same gold shimmer as in the Golden Beryl but with a blue base color.
@paradoxmo I was reminded when I wrote with one of my currently inked pens that Van Diemans Azure Kingfisher is a similar ink that has some red sheen and looks very cool. The sample I have has been well-behaved in the Nahvalur Voyage that’s been inked with it for over a month. Received a couple #FountainPen inks today, one of which was my first from Launceston, Tasmania's Van Dieman's Ink -- their #Tasmania series "Snowy Mountain Sunset", which is challenging to describe as it has elements of pink/red, blue, and even green in it, along with a grey tone, plus it has a gold/silver shimmer. A very unique one to put in my palette. This is my second purchase of an Australian ink -- I have a few shimmer bottles from #RobertOster . #FountainPens#Ink
Another item I received in this order was a bottle of a relatively new product, also by Van Dieman's -- their "Ink Wetter", which should help improve the flow of a couple of my favourite inks. It is an additive that is designed to lower an ink's surface tension. I'm eager to try it out, and will do so on a sample amount at a time, so as to maintain the ink's original composition. #FountainPen#VanDiemans
