The one band Axl Rose called "just a political organisation"
Axl Rose may have fronted one of the biggest rock bands of all time, but he didn't mind seeing one of their contemporaries as anything but rock and roll.
The GratefulDead show at Tulsa Pavilion on Feb 6 '79 is the last show for which there is no existing tape. The future mayor of Tulsa made a tape, but it was lost.
Scott R was there, however, and sent me his handwritten setlists, so we know for sure what was played.

TRENT REZNOR Reflects On The Downward Spiral Turning 30 Years Old
"Be kind to yourselves. Hope to see you soon."
Chesley Millikin isn't a big name for Grateful Dead fans, but he he should be. Millikin (1934-2001) was the link for some of the most important moments in Dead history. I sketch out his only-in-the-60s story.
Millikin was pals with Rock Scully and Sam Cutler. He was the key to Altamont, hiring Hal Kant, running Out Of Town tours and numerous other adventures.

On June 18, 1965 The Warlocks played their first live show with bassist Phil Lesh. Frenchy's was at 29027 Mission Blvd (CA-238) in Hayward. Currently nearing demolition, a few photos were snapped before it's all gone.
The Warlocks were not advertised, and fired after the first night. Headliners Lords Of London are unknown to me.
