I learned a lot about the FastAPI/pydantic/starlette/uvicorn world direct from the source as well as about OpenTelemetry:
I already fixed my current Pydantic v1->v2 problems today with hints from hallway & sponsor chatting and it's always amazing to talk to the people who write the software you're using.
Also finally played the CABO game, that @treyhunner's has been hyping forever. @mathsppblog brought it from PyConUS and taught it. It's really a lot of fun!
At PyCon Italia 2024, I moderated the panel Advent of Python 🎤
We saw how to use Python to solve the challenges of Advent of Code with Andrea Ambu, Juna Salviati, Marco Beri, Pietro Peterlongo, and Lorenzo Mele 👨💻
At PyCon Italia 2024 Ines Montani is presenting her talk "The AI Revolution Will Not Be Monopolized: How open-source beats economies of scale, even for LLMs" 🐍
If you are traveling to PyCon Italia 2024 I recommend you listen to the latest episode of "Intervista Pythonista" podcast in which Marco Santoni and Cesare Placanica host Matteo Benci 🎙️
I'm looking forward to speaking at PyCon Italia 2024, in Florence, Italy, later this week on Friday.
The title of the talk is "Advanced parsing of structured data using Python's new match statement". Given that the match statement still isn't used much in Python Land, I want to make people more aware of how useful it can be for parsing in Python.
@andreagrandi I know, fedidevs tracks #PyConIT, #PyConIT24 and #PyConIT2024, but really not much activity yet. Hopefully the posts pick up once the conference actually starts! 🤞
