#introduction
Hello everyone
I'm new here. I love bicycle riding, nature, anime, prog rock, jazz fusion, classical music, city pop, surfing trough old style websites and more. Also like Japan and Japanese culture, mysteries and thriller movies and tv series.
Thats abour me for now.
Never stop the car on a drive in the dark
Never look for the truth in your mother's eyes
Never trust the sound of rain upon a river rushing through your ears
(Ah-ah-ah-ah)
Arriving somewhere but not here
Did you imagine the final sound as a gun?
Or the smashing windscreen of the car?
Did you ever imagine the last thing you'd hear
As you're fading out was a song?
(Ah-ah-ah-ah)
Arriving somewhere but not here
All my designs simplified
And all of my plans compromised
All of my dreams sacrificed
Ever had the feeling you've been here before?
Drinking down the poison the way you were taught
Every thought from here on in your
Life begins and all you knew was wrong?
(Ah-ah-ah-ah)
Arriving somewhere but not here
All my designs simplified
And all of my plans compromised
And all of my dreams
Did you see the red mist block your path?
Did the scissors cut a way to your heart?
Did you feel the envy for the sons of mothers tearing you apart?
(Ah-ah-ah-ah)
Arriving somewhere but not here
I've been listening to a lot of Buckethead lately, and realized I've never featured him for #ProgTuesday. He constantly straddles the line between #ProgRock and #ProgMetal, he's always a solid go-to when I'm not sure what I want to listen to.
He adopted the name Buckethead because he often plays with an empty KFC bucket over his head. He loves playing the guitar, but just doesn't like the fame so much.
It took half a century, but science has finally addressed Jon Anderson's question from the Yes song "Siberian Khatru", "Who holds the ring and ring?". The answer: Hoag's Object.
Scientists remain uncertain whether, once at the start, you can gamble that you really, surely, really mean to finish. Further research is planned.
https://55ytmqrt.bandcamp.com/album/55yt-mqrt I don't really post about music on here very much. But some of my old friends just released this album and it's really great. They've been working on it for years! These dudes are some of the most talented musicians anywhere. Consider checking it out. For fans of psychedelic prog rock, the Mars Volta, Pink Floyd, King Crimson etc.
I'm surprised at how modern this 70s band sounds. Wouldn't take much to make it fit any current prog metal album today. Also their logo is an #ambigram. #progrock#progmetal#music#70s#70smusic
Hard to believe this incredible album is 30 years old today. I present, Brave, by Marillion. An incredible album from start to finish. #ProgRock#Marillion#Brave
I consider Tool to be more #ProgRock than metal. I love the complexity of it - irregular and unpredictable rhythm patterns and time signatures, and a lot of raw emotion in the songs.
It would be difficult to pick a favorite Tool album. 30 year old me would have said “10000 Days” was the best one, now I’m not sure of that. So here’s 10000 Days for #ProgTuesday
