It's a nude awakening as more Brits than ever just love getting their kit off.
British Naturism, which turns 60 this year, reckons we’re increasingly accepting of the lifestyle as society has become more liberal.
And to celebrate their birthday the group challenged members to do 60 activities in the nude – from a 5k run or playing golf to a skydive or taking part in a ropes obstacle course.
Andrew Welch, at British Naturism, said: “It has an appeal for those who want to get back to nature. Throwing off your clothes, getting naked and jumping into a river is very natural. When I spoke to people about naturism 20 years ago there would be a lot of barriers.
“People love that escape from daily life. It allows them to take themselves out of their nine to five job. As well as being more accepting – there is a healthy proportion of people saying we would like to have a go as well.”
More than six million Brits now describe themselves as naturists or nudists, up from 3.7m in 2011, a poll found.
