Word of mouth goes a long way in podcasting, and that’s what #AudioDramaSunday is all about! If you need something new in your ears this week, here’s a personal recommendation from our curator, @evoterra. Here's what he had to say about Desert Skies, a dramatized #fantasy / #comedy from Jared Carter.
"True story: Jared literally begged me to listen to this show, and I loved it. Think 80s-sitcom, but in the best possible way! It's a bit of a slow burn, but once it gets going, you'll be hooked!”
Desert Skies has reached the Season 1 finale, giving you 13 episodes and a little over 6 and a half hours of sitcom-y goodness.
It’s another #AudioDramaSunday, so it’s time to toot about the shows highlighted in the 56th issue of The End and our companion podcast, The End Last Week, This Week, and Next Week!
We’ll start off with a show that recently reached a conclusion last week:

Podcasting Hall of Fame inductee and author of Podcasting for Dummies Evo Terra joins us to celebrate the second anniversary of The First Episode Of. Evo talks about his love of audio drama, his curated audio fiction newsletter "The End," the state of the audio fiction industry, and how creators can make better experiences for listeners.
Today I want to highlight two shows that are near and dear to my heart, as not only am I a listener but I've also had very small roles in each.
The Storage Papers, created by @Jeremy, is a found footage horror series that sees a seemingly regular guy explore other folks' encounters with things that go bump in the night. Connections are drawn between the various stories, and the hero is drawn deeper into the mystery.
@MadisonontheAir features a modern influencer as she travels through old time radio shows bringing social commentary with her. The series adapts real scripts, and pokes fun of how dated they often seem, while still showing a lot of love for the forbears of contemporary audiodrama.
Don't forget to boost all the AudioDramaSunday posts you see to bring more visibility to indie audio dramas doing their best to entertain and delight us!
Fatine and Rusen, two knights-in-training in the Matysian Kingdom, meet the legendary hero Balthian, who tells them a variety of tales from his long life of adventures.
