I’m having some difficulty with #wireguard. It runs and indicates that it is adding routes. But ip a doesn’t show these routes, and traffic doesn’t seem to flow through the tunnel.

Here’s my config file and logs: https://paste.sr.ht/blob/d3023ac942e92461d67a8092f3ec03e85cde40b9

Any guidance is appreciated.

kidney,

@whynothugo ip a displays adresses, not routes.

Here's an explanation on modern linux routing by @bioinfochat : https://ro-che.info/articles/2021-02-27-linux-routing

PS: 100.3.6.6 is a Verizon IP. If you are looking for RFC6598 shared address space, that is 100.64.0.0/10.

@kidney @bioinfochat It turns out that this particular peer was not working properly. I switched to another and that worked.

I was using ip route to try and debug this (the output is included in the link). However, in my ignorance about routing tables, by diagnosis wasn’t getting me anywhere.

Thanks for the link, now everything makes a lot more sense.
