@DemocracySpot Thanks! It's been pretty mild (seasonally adjusted!) since the last week of October, couple cold days the last couple, moderating again for the next few! Not 'warm' but a pretty easy November for us:)
@DemocracySpot and one really does adjust to varying temperature-- in some climates that's probably once or twice a year, here, it's a different temperature regime every few weeks...lol they say your capillaries move- nearer the skin for cooling in warm temps, and deeper when it's cold to preserve heat.. not sure how long it takes.. What I would find cold in September would be balmy in October, continue that all year...lol
@DemocracySpot But we've only had -20C/-4F a couple of nights so far, recent Novembers saw -40C/F! The right clothes are key of course, and activity-- if one is outdoors not or minimally moving, they will need much warmer clothes than if working out there.. I'm rarely still outdoors.
@billyjoebowers@DemocracySpot haha-- it does depend on where-- south/east is much drier, so they'd have a short season (though also much warmer than me, so they can have West Nile virus).. I've never seen huge numbers in the mountains, either.. I don't have (biting) black flies, so I guess I can deal with mosquitoes. This year there were (relatively) almost none-- I've never seen so few- dryish spring, and they never really caught up.
