Magazine

Collecting links and snapshots of lives across Southeast Asia and maybe a little further. Owned by a Malaysian who is inviting others to contribute to a hopefully representative view of the Southeast Asian fediverse.

**We follow this instance's Code of Conduct and would like to emphasize the following:**

this magazine aims to be inclusive while understanding Karl Popper's Paradox of Tolerance;
Hate speech or ironic posturing using hate speech is not tolerated;
Hate speech is that which prejudiced the speaker and the audience against a particular class of people. This magazine considers the following classes to be of note: gender, sexuality, ethnicity, geography, economy;
Critical discussions on ideologies will be allowed but strongly monitored. Your life experiences regarding any ideology, be it political or religious, cannot be the basis for hateful conduct towards others of that group, and vice versa;
sarcasm is probably a given; being funny is a plus; being a dork is better. Better to be cringe than an asshole;
cross-posting is allowed when it's something you've posted from another general theme mag/comm (e.g. a country one or a cooking one) and it's got relevance to SEA;
self-promotional posts is tolerated (max. 3x/week). We don't count cross-posting of your own posts self-promotional if there's no expectation of sales or increasing audience/reach;
the rules are a work in progress; and
mag owner is a bit of an anarchist and anticolonialist and has opinions about the myth of meritocracy
