Updated @firefox on iOS and it lost all 500+ my open tabs. I guess thats what I get for having so many open tabs but I had like a years worth of things in there I was meaning to bookmark.
looking at the announcement that @firefox for android just launched extension support and was impressed to see uBlock mentioned in the blog post. I clicked to sort extentions by how many users they have and noticed uBlock Origin has 7,388,167 and is by far the most used firefox extension which totally surprised me. Number 2 is Adblock Plus (I think still owned by an ad company) at a little over 4 mil. Impressed that uBlock got that much higher on the list just by being so good.
Firefox for Android has supported extensions for a long while but it was limited to a few select extensions handpicked by Mozilla, with uBlock being among those available. What's different is that they're now opening the ecosystem, so that any extension developer can just mark their extension as Android compatible and have their extension published in the official addons site.
@iyashikei_kris@firefox oh funny I read the article but didn't understand that part. I have used firefox on android but had never installed an extension there
