_bydbach_, If you have not yet found your way to the #NationalLibraryWales in #Aberystwyth this month, go and treat yourself to a very special exhibition. The #NationalGallery sent the Canaletto painting as a historical marker of the painting's evacuation to #Wales during #WW2. Naturally, the curator whipped a good selection of the library's own art treasures out to show off the cream of 200+ years of landscape art from and in Wales. As a personal special treat, I discovered a Josef Herman ink drawing that I displayed in my own exhibition nine years ago.
View down the gallery with C20 paintings lining the wall.
A fantastically moody photograph from Blaenau Ffestiniog amidst landscape paintings of south Wales valleys communities.
Sticky notes by visitors, some containing small landscape sketches.
