Is it really a good idea to let the user control the browser's memory usage?
I doubt it. 🤔
What do you think?

You know that I always believe in options.

And I really like this attitude. :tony_happy:
Nevertheless, I would personally let the browser or the operating system decide on memory consumption. In my opinion, unused memory is wasted memory.
With other memory-intensive applications, such as video games, you don't limit the memory either and nobody would think of doing this. I find it strange that people want to do this so much with browsers.

It is a good idea to use the defaults in this case, I agree with that. On the other hand I always believe in choice, so I will not fault them from adding that.

The browser is the most important tool for most people, so for me the idea that people want to control it more is reasonable and in tune with our thinking at Vivaldi.

I agree with you. Even in the good old days of Opera, users were given a lot of control over their browser and Vivaldi follows this philosophy consistently.
That's what users love about Vivaldi.

Thank you for your opinion. :tony_happy:
