@tiniest_war The game is fantastic, and everyone who plays it has a very positive opinion about it. By definition, this game is a huge success! The only "problem" is that in a couple of weeks, they are adding a new requirement: having a PlayStation account and linking it with your Steam account. If you don't comply, you will not be able to play anymore.

@tiniest_war Sony’s official answer to your question is “because of safety and security”. My personal opinion is that Sony wants to boost PSN account numbers so they can demonstrate live service growth to shareholders. Pick one or add a second opinion, it doesn’t change the fact that these developers did not deserve to be in this position. They worked their asses off to produce a great game and are now punished for that because their publisher made the wrong decision.

@darth Oh yeah absolutely not the devs fault; I'm sure we've all worked on projects where managers or publishers have demanded something bad. It just seems weird to force PSN accounts; is Helldivers even a PS-centric game? 😂

Small percentage will quit but other will continue to play.

Do i think its shitty move to make account and sign for new service for every new game? Yes.
Will I do it? Depends if game is really good.

@sorg this game seems to be universally loved, so I imagine gamers will eventually accept the new requirement.
