@ai6yr Way back when, I had an almost-landing in Schenectady, when the Air National Guard (which shares the airport) put a plane on the runway we were about to land on. 😱 Our pilot throttled back up and turned slightly and we went around again. We flew over the plane on the runway at about 500 feet elevation.

@ai6yr Wind shear? We almost-landed in Salt Lake once (while we were living there). It was terrifying ... and loud.

@jordinn @ai6yr They've since put #IAD on ground stop because of thunderstorms. Lots of airports on the Eastern seaboard are on ground stop right now.
