@helligbird I am surprised lots of people voted for 4+ games installed and playing. Guess it's good to hop from one thing to another whether you're stuck or just don't wanna play that particular game right now.
@Monsterlady For me, it's one or two games I'm actively playing (such as Starfield & CP2077 now) and then the evergreen ones that I keep coming back to.
@apzpins So 4 then? I guess you pick one of them to play based on mood? I still have to play Cyberpunk, and Doom Eternal is great.
Right now, for me, it's Mass Effect Andromeda and Dreamlight Valley while Little Nightmares II is on my Steam Deck. Andromeda is no rush since it's my third playthrough, LN is slow progress as it can sometimes be difficult, and DDLV is always ongoing. I might add in another game to play soon.
@Monsterlady It's purely a mood thing. Sometimes it's exploration and wonder, sometimes it's either shooting monsters or other players in the face. I also have a strong preference for Sci-Fi in general.
Then there's a lot of smaller games on the back burner, like Life is strange's remake and others.
@apzpins I love sci-fi, so I will eventually pick up Starfield when it's on sale. 😃 Sometimes I will have one or two main big games in progress and then add in an indie or farming sim that'll go on Teletraan-1 or my deck if I don't always feel like playing a bigger game I'm currently on or I'm stuck and need a break from it.
If the story of the bigger game is really interesting and/or gameplay is fun, I'll be more conservative when I play it the first run so no one disturbs me.
@Monsterlady Starfield has so far been pretty positive surprise, although I can't shake the feeling of being amused by the whole "the universe is at risk, but I'll get back to it after I've done being space sheriff/pirate/marine/corporate spy" concept. They nailed the exploration part better than BioWare did with ME:A and I can't wait for DLCs and other expansions. I have around 7 days worth of game time on it and I'm about to finish my first playthrough.
@Monsterlady After roaming around in the Freestar collective area in the game, my very first thought was "Oh, so this is Fallout in space"! The ship and outpost building is just as wild as in FO4.
But yeah, it has the Bethesda seal on it. In both, good and bad.
@Monsterlady Yeah, I understand. I had a lot lower expectations, but I hear that behind the scenes Microsoft picked up the tab for the game to be delayed a year so they'd polish it a bit. It's in amazing state for a Bethesda launch day game.
All the issues I've had with it have mostly been just amusing and not game breaking unlike in their other titles at release.
@apzpins that's good. I still prefer to wait to save money and you never know in terms of performance issues. I have so many games so FOMO doesn't make me rush into it.
@ZombieGopher I was thinking if I'm struggling with Little Nightmares II on my Deck, I can turn to Lost Ember for a bit if I wanna play some Deck games.
On Teletraan-1, I have Andromeda and Dreamlight Valley. I don't always feel like working on them, I think I'll install Stray this Sunday as I'll be done night shift week by then.
@ZombieGopher Yes, I have a Steam Deck. I use it when I want to play games but notsit at my computer, so I will have some games on my PC and others on my Deck, usually 2 - 3.
Dude it's a game where you're a cat! That should be enough to succumb! 😺
