“The app would lead you to believe it's open source, but after visiting the GitHub page, you realize, only the actions are open. No thanks, not with my notes.” (1 star)

I never said my application was open source. Making shit up and then giving out bad reviews based on that misconception is totally cool, random internet stranger

¯_(ツ)_/¯

VacantInside,

@czottmann the irony here is that I’ve now discovered your work and have, after watching the video, downloaded the app and will tinker with it myself before I buy

@VacantInside Heh, much appreciated. If you have questions or suggestions, I'm here!

I mean, I get it: Open-source apps allow you to check the source code for shenanigans etc. I love open-source, I support open-source, I create a lot of open-source software myself — but I don't want to do that exclusively.

This is not a side-hustle for me, this is my profession. Making money by developing and selling closed-source software like Actions for Obsidian or Browser Action etc. allows me to also spend time on open-source projects, and also to sponsor other devs. This works for me.
