@fistfulofdave What's your favorite local establishment?
I make pizza at home every week, but I do love what Santino's Little Italy has, and Pizza Man is okay if we're ordering at work. I've been to Sorella once and it was pretty damn good as well.
@fistfulofdave I went to Balistreri's two years ago, didn't love it. Organ Piper maybe 5 years ago but it was not memorable. Don't really care for the kids/carnival focus either.
Transfer is good! Haven't been there in a while. Since it's close to Santino's I'd probably go there instead.
I forgot Calderone Club. Went last year, it was okay but not too memorable.
@fistfulofdave I knew the legend of Jimmy's Grotto and the Ponza Rotta from all my old Waukesha pals. We got them at work long ago and then I finally got to go there after a speaking gig I did in Waukesha a few years back. Definitely worth a visit!
@fistfulofdave I think I may be conflating the quality of the pizza with the atmosphere of the restaurant a little in my notes... I'm fine with that, but I will add it as a warning.
@fistfulofdave My "homemade" pizza is reliably better than the pizza from Toppers or Papa John's but sometimes you have $3, 5min, and a hankering for Sal's?
