Coming from the UK I wasn't allowed to give blood for many years of being here in Australia. From 2005 when I arrived until 2022 when I moved to Tasmania, I wasn't allowed to donate, but I'm trying to make up for that now.

My wife can't donate, though she'd like to. She has fibro and the drugs she's on prevent her.

@chestas @Fury There are lots of very valid reasons why some people can’t or don’t want to donate (for example my partner gets a bit woozy when we just talk about the procedure).
Luckily, I have no valid reasons!
It still hurts a bit every time, including the autolancet haemoglobin test. But against that: free snacks, and a good chance to properly listen to a fiction podcast.
