cyberwolfie,

@tuxedocomputers Looking forward to Tuxedo OS 3. What kind of issues are present with Wayland and NVIDIA cards at the moment? And would it be possible to flawlessly switch between X11 with dGPU and Wayland with iGPU?

@cyberwolfie
In general, Wayland works fine with Nvidia by now, if you use recent drivers. Cards that need legacy drivers (older than 495.44) will not work.

Nvidia talks about known problems on their website: https://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/515.65.01/README/wayland-issues.html

There is also an advisory for Plasma, which lists the prerequisites and lists some issues.

The switch between X11 with dGPU and Wayland with iGPU is standard, and our testing suggests, it works.
