the “weather hype” at the Houston ABC/NBC/CBS #affiliates is real.
So bad that our local Fox channel (rightfully) advertises their own #Wx reports as not sensationalistic.
for decades, Houston’s NBC channel lags in every measure … is ever-willing to do anything to boost their ratings … then the other two networks follow a race to the bottom
@HoustonDog Well, considering Fox is downplaying climate change, not so sure that's better. That said, ALL the channels in Los Angeles throw in hype around any rain... even if it's a quarter inch: "STORM WATCH 2000! OUR REPORTERS ARE ON THE STREET!" LOL. Reporter in full rain gear, standing in the street... "Martha, I think I can feel some moisture on my face!!"
