Demon Knight was originally released on LaserDisc today in 1995 and then on VHS and DVD in 1996. I'm not sure when I saw it first, but it was probably pretty close to 1996. I was 16 then. Nobody I knew had DVD players, but we all had VHS players.
I know Demon Knight gets criticized for being bad or whatever, but I remember loving the hell out of it. I probably still would. Anything Tales from the Crypt, I'm there. I gotta give this one a rewatch.

When it comes to horror movies I tend to put very little stock in any critics opinion because a horror film by it’s very nature I feel has a huge up hill battle to fight with critics. They tend to come in with a pre-set opinion and work from there. But it’s a great fun flick, and that’s all I need it to be.
@jacklaridian right?!? My first Zane as well. Didn't see the sequel- need to but if it's even worse.. hahaha. I'll see it anyway. But yeah, Zane's character too- there's this Minor Threat song, 'Good Guys (Don't Wear White)' and this movie is one of the ultimate examples of that. And strong black female lead that saves the world! HELL yeah.
