I’ve loved this season and this was a spectacular final elimination episode.
The final three queens are on solid equal footing going into the finale and it doesn’t feel like it was forced or due to production meddling.
I feel that Q’s elimination was both right and shocking. I’m surprised we didn’t get a complete emotional breakdown as a result of it because you could feel how much Q wanted this, plus she showed she’s not the best at losing. But she handled it gracefully and I hope that she gives us a good All Stars run.
Plain Jane’s book cover was very much a shady production moment, because we saw much better photos taken. It’s not like we, as the audience, think that the queens photoshop together the covers, so the obvious sloppy cover wasn’t her fault. Plus Ru did the art direction. I almost expected her to clap back at Michelle on it.
Normally I’d be upset by that level of meddling, but Jane bombed the interview and misread the assignment, then she destroyed that lip sync, so it gave her a chance to really show she deserved the spot in the finale.
I also loved seeing Ru art direct the cover shoots. This was the first time we’ve seen her be that involved in any challenge, and I loved seeing her prove that she’s a professional still, not a has-been.
And I loved the win for Nymphia! She really did deliver the best cover by an infinite number of miles. And it was a big part because of her look.
All in all I loved it and am looking forward to the finale episodes.
Great summary! I agree with everything your said and you made me realize the issue with the photo editing. I guess production realized eliminating Q could be a potentially good TV moment, and she was also going downhill already. But ye what a top 3 bitch. Amazing season!
