While I think about what to do with #DarkSouls3's frame rate issue on XBox One (stomach it and keep playing? buy the game again for PS5?) I'm going to go back to #Grandia and try to complete it for the #VGCJan2024

@hk if this helps, I have 300 hours on this game on PS5 and I’ve never seen it drop a single frame or mess up frame pacing. Same goes for 1 and 2 and demons souls remake. (Bloodborne has frame pacing issues, Elden ring sometimes drops frames.)

@kaylee Thanks! It's good to know, definitely :)

Just to check, there is no specific PS5 version, right? It's sold as a game for PS4 which runs on the PS5?

I also played Bloodborne on PS5 and was surprised by the occasional frame rate drops. And Elden Ring I played it on XBox One and it did run smoothly all the time, which is why I'm quite surprised by the poor optimization of DS3 for XBox One!

@hk it’s a PS4 version, and the PS5 uses the PS4 Pro settings, but has enough horsepower to actually deliver 60fps at every s

Bloodborne never got the Pro treatment :(

Even for Elden Ring, I downloaded the PS4 version on the PS5, which runs perfectly except for a few areas. The PS5 version rarely gets to 60. From can’t make a game that runs well on the hardware it’s designed for to save their lives 😅
