GW,

The American Renaissance Is Already at Hand

#China looks not like a growing dynamic power but like a troubled, stagnating one. Growth rates are falling.

Over the past few years, for example, scads of tech firms have decided to invest in manufacturing plants in formerly Rust Belt #Ohio: Intel ($20 billion), Amazon ($7.8 billion), Google ($3.7 billion). Ohio in 2020 attracted almost 14 times as many new capital projects per capita as California.

ecsd,

@GW

I will boredly suggest that any and all "America thriving, China flagging" news and opinion is (obviously) propaganda, to gull the weakest-minded of us.

Oh look, the New York Times, bastion of honest news.

Just stop it.

If you want a more dire prediction, then here it is: China will build a successful Fusion reactor before the West does. Why? Because they're smart enough not to divert the entire output of their economy into the graft involved with a war machine. We aren't.

@GW yeah, you don't need to tell me! The housing market here is absolutely STUPID.
