It's the Internet's last hope.

The AlterNet is the collection of protocols, hardware, software, platforms and programs currently running on/off the Internet.

Kbin and other federated alternatives to mainstream platforms are a part of it. And alternative physical networks are too!

Think of all the big names on the web and how much of our online experience they control. The AlterNet is the ocean of alternatives to these big fish. Individually, many of these alternatives may seem small in comparison. But, together, they are so much more.

This magazine will document the AlterNet and our collective rebellion against big tech.
