Surely you can open the editor and drag the button back to its original place?

You must have accidentally removed it.
To get it back, you can either reset the full toolbar by right-clicking on another button and selecting Edit > Reset Toolbar to Default.
Or select Edit > Customize Toolbar and drag the "Back" button to where you want it.
