managed to get The Lounge running on my #RPi, connected to the Synchronet #IRC server also running on there, now I just need to find a way to connect the machine to the outside world.
together with a video conference system (Galène) and a #usenet web interface (rslight) I slowly start to make this usable for hosting my #ttrpg games without discord
my main issue right now is that all this nice setup is absolutely unusable for anyone besides me because my provider doesn't allow me to do port forwarding. so I first will have to see how I can get around all that.
@NinjaDebugger not really. it's an IRC web gateway that looks not unlike discord. but of course it's basically just a fancy web-client for any IRC server
