Want to access OneDrive files in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS through the file manager? You can; here's how https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2024/04/set-up-onedrive-file-access-in-ubuntu?1 #ubuntu #onedrive

@omgubuntu excellent! I haven't tried this yet, appreciate the guide. I assume LibreOffice can just access standard office files from this remote location?

@tehstu Yeah, you're able to open any MS Office docs saved in OneDrive in LibreOffice from the file manager once this is enabled.

@omgubuntu the real trick is - once I have a non-disk thing mounted in Gnome, how do I access it through the CLI?

@rotopenguin Okay, so I just had a quick poke around. The gio command can be used with the Google Drive implementation in GOA /but/ it seems that doesn't work with the OneDrive backend in GOA. Gio doesn't "see" the OneDrive mount so it can't be used to do anything with files in it via the CLI. Someone smarter may know better so here's hoping they enlighten us.
