There's several problems finding an instance for Trans Pride Southampton.
We'd like to interact with as many people as possible including Threads when they allow there users to follow other Fediverse users.
Finding a Instance that visually looks good next to the TransPrideSouthampton name is something that we'd love to do, some instances are mainly focusing on Trans Men or Trans Women so we are trying to find something Trans Based without being one sided.
Working out the Correct handle for ourselves, as we normally use @TransPrideSouthampton on every platform but that's a bit long when you include a instance name after.
Not sure where we will go from here, but finding the right Instance for Trans Pride Southampton is one of the main tasks I will try and work on the background well using the Fediverse.
I think we have to drop the idea of having an instance with Threads included as a lot of instances across the Fediverse doesn't allow for Threads intergration sadly.
We will be looking to find an inclusive Trans based Instance, that isn't gender specific as Trans Pride Southampton catures towards Non-Binary, Trans-Femme, Trans-Masc & any other Gender-Non conforming people.
So sadly Transfem.social isn't what we are looking for but I may revisit using them in the future for other things than Trans Pride Southampton.
Annoyingly we have to try and workout a new username than @TransPrideSouthampton as that's way to long for most instances, understandable when you add in the instance name after for people to find you.
Decided to do an internal vote for the Trans Pride Southampton username & already @transpridesoton is going really well (soton is a shortened version of Southampton used by locals)
