Linux_Is_Best,

Thursday and Friday is when T-Mobile Home Internet seems the busiest. You would think the weekend, such as Saturday or Sunday, but nope, Thursday and Friday is usually when the network acts odd. I assume this is when it is congested.

kkarhan,

@Linux_Is_Best it is congested.

In fact #DTAG has neglected #peering so hard that #Level3 and #Cogent independently from each other sued them for being abused as #Upstreams and DTAG refusing to increase capacity, resulting in (inboind to DTAG's ASN) #PacketLoss at the Peering Points.

Linux_Is_Best,

It is technically, 2:00 Am, Saturday, but whoever uses the network around Thursday or Friday, won't give it a rest until sometime Saturday morning.

As "bad" as these speeds may seem, I can technically live with them most of the time. I use my Internet primarily for work and usually, when I do watch a movie in my free personal time, this is still good enough. —The belief they must always have the fastest internet, really does come down to being a marketing ploy. Netflix can stream HD with 5 Mbps

Linux_Is_Best,

The problem during these times isn't necessarily the speed. Rather it is the occasional timeout or lag. Thankfully that does not happen often.

I've just come to accept that doing updates on a Thursday or Friday is something I should avoid.

#Tmobile

Linux_Is_Best,

That all said, once GoNetSpeed has their fiber optic internet available, I am likely to jump away from T-Mobile Home Internet.

T-Mobile Home Internet is not bad per say. I have certainly experienced worse. Most days I could even forget I was using a cellular network for home Internet. Which in my opinion, says how far cellular has advanced.

But it does suffer one issue cable internet has, which is it can be bottled down if everyone is on or someone is using excess.

#GoNetSpeed #TMobile

kkarhan,

@Linux_Is_Best Cable can habe the same issue, tho unlike #LTE & #5G it's actually the norm for #DOCSIS (#Coax) and #GPON (#Fiber) to do #Quotas, #TrafficShaping and #QoS so whilst they too are #SharedMedia, #ISPs are not just able but willing to provide actual #SLAs!
