TGT's partnership with Boosteroid update

Hey adventurers! Today’s announcement regards The Gamer’s Tavern’s partnership with Boosteroid.

While Boosteroid is an amazing and upgrowing Cloud Gaming service, we didn’t feel confident in pursuing the partnership anymore.

Since the last two years, The Gamer’s Tavern has steered away from all the “usual” platforms of content creation when the companies behind those started aggressively adding more and more ads and giving a hard time to viewers. We took a stance as a brand, removing our content from those platforms and moving completely to the Fediverse, self hosting our own contents and promising we would never follow their path. It’s a given that since we’ve taken that stance, we don’t feel confident anymore in advertising any platform/service, even an amazing and uprising Cloud Gaming service as Boosteroid is.

We decided to remove our brand from the Boosteroid partnership program and the company understood our point of view.

Addendum: we would gladly like to see more companies joining the Fediverse, but not through us, so we suggested Boosteroid considering an outlet in one of the various decentralized and privacy-centered social networks.

Effective from now, every partnership link will be removed from our outlets.
