@markhughes@GossiTheDog I have five because reasons. Bell curve, etc. but my feeling is that that MAU number is probably double the actual number of individuals.
@nemobis@toxtethogrady The high retention rate in comparison with Twit doesn't surprise me, because M is smaller then Twit. Hence the people coming are more interested.
@PeterMotte Yes, it's reasonable that there would be a higher share of power users, addicted users and generally more invested people. We don't have apple-to-apple comparisons. But that's my point: we need more studies! Not just lazy articles "uh numbers down, mastodon bad, GAFAM save us".
