Yeah this Windows install is drunk and needs to just go home. I still can't add bluetooth devices without someone else having to intervene because that setting won't stay put. Christ's sakes. Think I'll just nuke it and redo it the Meepercat PickyTastic way. Because at least THAT way I know the shit's gonna work.
@FluidEscence Someone got it to work once. But I do not wanna have to have someone come catsit me every time I need to add a damn bluetooth device which if I keep this fucker as is, looks like that's how this is gonna roll. Because we got one done, and then I go oh, so I should be able to do the rest, right?
@Meepercat I got it. Download a windows 11 ISO from Microsoft, then create a USB with Rufus. That way, you can have it automewgically create you a user account and go through 99% of the initial setup for you.

@Meepercat@FluidEscence no you don't. the board is authorized now so you can reinstall without copying the key as the machine will still be authorized.
@Meepercat@FluidEscence they changed this in windows 10. activating activates the machine not the key so it stores a hash of the machine string as the activation string and nt the key itself. take it if you feel more comfortable but you don't have to. when you reinstall, it will be activated.

This prooves why I went the home annual route, because if I'm gonna do anything that has the squeakiest chance of blowing out my activation, I jump into the portal and kill the activation, then do the potentially braking thing then put it back, and hey brian, that number no longer works, it just rings and rings and rings and goes nowhere.
@munchkinbear@Meepercat@FluidEscence home annual is good for the limited set of customers it is available to. Guess American internet packets are different.
@Meepercat@bmoore123@FluidEscence because it's their for those with home-annual licenses. all that'll do is deactivate the license, losing you the activation if you do it and make any changes that change the locking code. so you can install it again, the only way you wouldn't lose the activation is if you deactivated, did what you needed to do, and reactivated on the same computer, same license, same windows install same locking code, etc.
