Just finished short (8 episode) #cdrama To The Wonder - iQiYi.
It deserves all the accolades - great acting & script,beautifully filmed, gorgeous scenery.
No wonder Cannes picked it up.
It could have been a schmalzy ‘Dances with Wolves’ version of a Han girl goes to the Wild West but rather it is poetic not heroic.
There is a wash of romance but it is not classically romantic. It is all mood but not nostalgia.
Highly recommend!
