If Wizards hadn't lost me already, their "Collectible Alt-art Cover" would have done it.
Pick one gods-damned cover.
This isn't the 1990's and you aren't a comic book company. Alt covers didn't work at $3.00 a pop. It ain't gonna work at whatever astronomical price gouge you're going with, ya greedy bastards.
@DM_Zeppelin They're the same MSRP as the standard books. It started as a way to get people into game stores, as that was originally the only way to get them. Now, it's just a thing that they do. Many of the alt covers are actually "better" than the standard ones IMO - or at least, quite different.
@Tim_Eagon@DM_Zeppelin I haven't purchased anything recently, but I'm with Tim, I usually like the alt covers better. I also liked that they were the same price, but you could only get them at local game stores. I thought it was great that they supported game stores that way. Did they change that? If so, that's lousy.
@Tim_Eagon@Craig@DM_Zeppelin You can't buy them direct. There are some online stores that maintain a physical storefront that gives them access to the alt covers.
