@gorplop @RueNahcMohr That is NEAT. Now you've got me wondering where the cover of Robbie Williams' "Supreme" came from.

@gorplop@pleroma.m68k.church avatar

@philpem @RueNahcMohr I asked Rue. Funny enough, "Millenium" came on after that on youtube and I thought it was Acen for a second...

@gorplop @RueNahcMohr Also, is it wrong I recognised the Motorola GM300 front panel you used as a speaker? Complete with "Taxi Driver spec" tobacco-yellow buttons...

@gorplop@pleroma.m68k.church avatar

@philpem @RueNahcMohr no, you are correct. In fact the rest of it is sitting detached nearby as I had it out trying to figure out how to read the codeplug (hc11 does not answer)

@gorplop that sounds like a line driver issue if the chip is running OK. also they're old-guard mot so they need a real (differential) RIB.

@gorplop@pleroma.m68k.church avatar

@philpem thats weird because valid data ia coming to the micro on the RX line, I also checked this model only has BUS+ out so it must be the micro.. i was told to try a different program which ill do

@gorplop is valid data coming out of the TX line? I may still have the SB9600 protocol spec around here if you want to look at what data's being exchanged

gorplop,
@gorplop@pleroma.m68k.church avatar

@philpem no, the TX line on the hc11 is stuck at high level. There isnt any short to VCC on it which is weird. That spec wouls be handy to check if the RIB sends valid data

@gorplop sorry - been away this weekend. if you have the right RSS software the RIB should be sending valid data. some versions are picky and won't work on fast machines, my P166 Toshiba Libretto works OK for most of the DOS ones, in plain DOS mode.
