BenRiceM, 28 days ago I’ve always been curious why the big iPad Pro kept the 4:3 aspect ratio while all the others shifted to 10:7 Did Apple ever explain this @viticci @jsnell @gruber?

BenRiceM, 28 days ago @matthewcassinelli I think the more rectangular it is the less screen you get for the same diagonal measurement :P

matthewcassinelli, 28 days ago @BenRiceM Sure, you could make a long one that’s “more” and not have it be comfortable though. I don’t think they should take the big one and stretch it. Also in general it’s functionally like having two portrait iPads

BenRiceM, 28 days ago @matthewcassinelli I don't think I have a preference either way (though I've never owned a non-4:3 iPad), I just find it curious ¯_(ツ)_/¯

matthewcassinelli, 28 days ago @BenRiceM I have all three models and it fits well for me. The 4:3 would be bad in the smaller ones for holding and using in portrait, and the big one is so big it’d be too skinny in portrait and you basically don’t hold it the same way
