Some weirdo or weirdos is retransmitting the entire broadcast of a local TV station and a local radio station on ham radio here in LA. They've been doing it for many days now.
@MLE_online Is this like pointing your internet camera at an analog (with a second hand) clock to give it something to do so you can prove to yourself it's working? A CD player on repeat would make more sense, but that's why I'd do it…
@MLE_online Rule number 1 of pretty much any activity is don't screw around when there's federal oversight. Much like postal inspectors, the FCC can send people with guns directly to your home.
@vadhakara I looked at the disciplinary records for people who were breaking FCC rules, and the it's a slap on the wrist unless you do it over and over
@MLE_online oh, that nonsense. hah. We had a jammer like that in Miami for a while, they'd settle in on a frequency at complete random in the afternoons.
That's assuming it isn't just some intermod product drama
