I have picked up an injury since yesterday’s run, although I’m doing better today already. It’s in the tendons of my right knee and I’m also wondering if I did not cause it myself by stretching too hard.

10 days post injury. As of yesterday I can walk pain free and without limping. Doctor thinks it's likely a mild tendonitis in one of the lower quad's tendons although he does not exclude a stress fracture (it's hard to diagnose). Getting an MRI for non-urgent cases like this one is a 6-month delay here so it looks like I will have to resume running very carefully and see what happens 🙃

@WTL Yeah I can do everything pain free now. I even tried to jog in my living room this morning and couldn't feel anything weird, but to be safe I will wait one more week and focus on strengthening the quad. For cardio I will torture myself with the rowing machine :)

@s1m0n4 @WTL Thanks :) I wonder how much fitness will be lost after 2+ weeks, I will report for science :) My longest break so far was 9 days and I fully recovered after a week of easy runs.

First run since the injury, precisely 2 weeks after. I dabbled with light jogging a few days ago and felt confident to give it a try today. Stopped after 5K.

No pain whatsoever, however when running downhill the previously-injured area in my lower quad started to flare up a bit. I have been doing a lot of downhill running lately (likely without proper recovery) and I now suspect this is what caused the injury.

Will keep doing easy runs for a while... but so far I'm happy 😭

@lrz It’s a constant thing! Did I stretch enough? Did I over-stretch? There should be a light that turns green or something when you’re done warm up. 🤣
